The “We Are Dwyer” Foundation and the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce proudly announce their joint “Meet the New Principal” event to be held on August 22, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in Dwyer’s cafeteria. This reception, open to students, parents, teachers, the business community and the public at large, will serve as the formal introduction of William T. Dwyer High School’s new principal, Mr. Joe DePasquale, to the entire community. It will also give everyone an opportunity to network and meet each other, while getting to know Mr. DePasquale a little bit better.

Joe DePasquale was born and raised in Niles, Ohio. After graduating from high school in 1980, DePasquale attended Youngstown State University where he received a B.S. Degree in Secondary Education in 1984. A few years later he joined St. Cloud High School, Orlando, Fla., as a teacher and coach. After teaching for four years at St. Cloud, he relocated to Jupiter, taking a position at Jupiter High School. After receiving his master’s degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 1994, DePasquale moved into school-based leadership roles as an assistant principal, principal and area director. He has also been the principal of North Palm Beach Elementary and Jeaga Middle School. After leaving Jeaga, he spent seven years as an area director before arriving at Dwyer on July 1, 2016. He has two children, a son, J.D., and a daughter, Cassi, currently students at Florida State University and the University of Florida, respectively.

The reception will be hosted from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a brief program beginning at 6:15 p.m.
