THE PALM BEACH NORTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CONTINUES FOSTERING DIALOGUE IN GOVERNMENT BY PRESENTING THE CONGRESSMEN’S TOWN HALL TITLED: “WHY GRIDLOCK RULES WASHINGTON AND HOW WE CAN SOLVE THE CRISIS”

At 7:15 AM on Wednesday, November 14 the PBNCC will host its monthly Business Before Hours at the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott. Members, made up of business and community leaders, as well as elected officials and interested guests, will be treated to a moderated bipartisan dialogue which has up until now been the purview of academia and town halls. The keynote speakers, former Congressmen Jolly and Murphy will present “Why gridlock rules Washington and how we can solve this crisis” to an audience eager to hear their views on how to bring civility back to bipartisan dialogue.

As an innovative chamber, the PBNCC has assumed a leadership role in connecting the 10 municipalities within its borders, creating a mission and vision and declaring it “Florida’s Prosperity Coast”. Elected officials play key roles in the Chamber’s committees, each with ambitious initiatives and agendas. This unique collaboration has resulted in a shared purpose driving economic vitality and a high quality of life. Projects such as Palm Beach North’s Smart & Connected Region and Logistics Initiatives depend not only on the numerous local officials but also on state representatives and members of the U.S. congress and the U.S. senate on both sides of the aisle working together to address the region’s issues and help it grow and thrive.

“Within our region we have the 12th busiest port in the country, the 10th largest school district, a thriving business environment that encompasses multiple industries, from manufacturing to research in neuroscience, aerospace, energy, medical and everything in-between, all within an eco-friendly area offering a high-quality lifestyle, so it is incumbent upon us as a community to stay ahead of the curve in planning our collective future, and government plays a fundamental part in how much we can accomplish”, stated PBNCC Chair, George Gentile. Beth Kigel, CEO and President of PBNCC, added, “a government that holds dialogue is one that delivers, which is why we are incredibly proud to be hosting former Congressmen Jolly and Murphy, as they exemplify bipartisan collaboration. But beyond our dependence on a working government, we gladly take on the role of leaders and want to provide access to this forum to students and young professionals who may not have had the opportunity to experience a bipartisanship message.”

The PBNCC has produced debates for the 18th congressional district during the last three election cycles. These endeavors are supported and underwritten by a diverse and engaged membership. The November 14 presentation is presented by the law firm of Markarian & Hayes and the Palm Beach Post.
