Erik Cazares, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center
Erik Cazares serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. As Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for overseeing all strategic, operational and clinical activities of the 199-bed acute care hospital.Most recently, Erik served at Tenet's sister facility, The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus, in El Paso, TX, as the Chief Executive Officer. His tenure at The Hospitals of Providence began in 2001 when he joined Sierra Medical Center, now Sierra Campus as a Registered Nurse. In 2008, he transitioned into his first healthcare leadership position.
Over the course of his career, he has had oversight and responsibilities over multiple inpatient hospital departments and led the strategic implementation of service lines including cardiac, orthopedics and oncology. In 2018, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at East Campus before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer of The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus.
Erik holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Masters in Nursing Administration degree from Texas Tech University.
