Palm Beach North Chamber Welcomes Two New Hires

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hire of two new team members: Joseph Garcia, Membership Development Manager and Alexis Lockhart, Communications Coordinator.  

Joseph Garcia is a graduate of Florida State University with a dual degree in marketing (B.S.) and multinational business operations (B.A.) His 10+ years of experience in the hospitality, cruise line and travel industries cultivated a portfolio that includes renowned brands such as:  The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and Discover The Palm Beaches. In his new role as Membership Development Manager, Joseph will proactively manage and oversee a range of business relationships with members of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.

Today, Joseph volunteers on several membership organizations including the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council (PBCHRC), Compass Community Center, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, FSU Pride Alumni Network, and the Human Rights Campaign. In addition, he is a graduate of the 2021 South Florida Fair “Beyond the Fair” Young Professionals Program and serves as the Chair of the Charitable Foundation for PBCHRC. 

Alexis Lockhart is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a B.S. in Public Relations. Lockhart has worked in fashion communications around the world, and most recently in the nonprofit sector as Communications Director for Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education. In her new role as Communications Coordinator, Lockhart will be working closely with the Marketing Director to implement communications objectives as well as assist with events, including spearheading the Chamber’s “Business After Hours” mixers.

Lockhart has served as an acting liaison between city officials, strategists, news reporters and small business owners to ensure partnerships, and secure resources for her clients. Lockhart currently serves as the Riviera Beach Housing Authority Commissioner, appointed by Mayor Ronnie L. Felder in May 2020.
