Gedel Merzius, Riviera Beach CRA
As Executive Director for the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) in the City of Riviera Beach, Gedel Merzius has collaborated closely with government officials, community leaders and local business stakeholders, building quality of life improvements that impact our communities. Specializing in preemptively addressing matters before they arise, Merzius uses foresight and experience to articulate the needs of an organization for efficiency and execution of goals. His combined experience of 15 plus years as a government professional includes citywide management, strategic planning, and municipal budgeting across multiple departments.
Prior to joining the City of Riviera Beach CRA, he served as an Assistant City Manager for the City of North Miami Beach and served as a Director at a prominent South Florida engineering firm specializing in development in Broward County.
As a testament to his hard work, Gedel has been recognized as a leader in local government through various honors and awards.
