Alexander Lewy, Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County
Alexander Lewy has served two decades in the non-profit and government sectors and is currently the Director of Community Relations for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where he is focused on finding practical solutions to antisemitism and hatred confronting our local community. Alex transitioned into this new role November 2024 after serving nearly nine years strengthening and directing process improvement for the Alzheimer's Association's across Florida enabling the Association to serve more Floridians than ever before. Prior to joining the Alzheimer's Association, Alex consulted for congressional candidates in early 2016 and served as AIPAC's Miami Area Director in 2014 after leaving elected office. He was elected to the Hallandale Beach City Commission in 2010, where he ultimately served in the role of Vice Mayor. He learned the value of public service and community engagement while serving two African American Members of Congress from South Florida as their liaison to the Jewish community and adviser on Israeli and Mid-East affairs from 2005 until 2012. In addition to public service, Alex was also involved in leadership positions with various professional organizations both in the Jewish and political community and served in leadership capacities at the local, state, and national level. A native South Floridian, he graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in International Relations and dual certificates in Judaic Studies and Mass Communication. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Project Management from Colorado State University.
