Cancellation Leads to Creation: New Mileage Challenge in Place of Loggerhead Triathlon
Participate in Run, Creep or Crawl Challenge Anywhere During the Month of October

Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Loggerhead Triathlon, one of the three premiere events produced by the Palm Beach North Chamber, was canceled in late July due to COVID-19. In an effort to still produce an athletic event that would create competition and strengthen the sense of community that is so prominent in the race world, the Run, Creep or Crawl Challenge was born.

It’s not about how fast you go, but how many miles you can walk, jog or run starting October 1 through October 31. The challenge will be based on intentional movement, and participants are able to log their daily mileage through the RunSignUp page and view their live ranking on a leader board.

Challengers are invited to a Facebook group to be able to encourage one another and share their progress throughout the month. The intention is to bring the community closer and have fun together, while responsibly staying apart.

The merchandise is reason enough to sign up. In the spirit of spooky season, challengers receive a shirt and race medal adorned with a skeleton hand peace sign stating cleverly, “Creep it Real,” as well as a skeleton pattern neck buff. Individual pricing is currently $40 per person until it increases to $45 on September 15. You can save $20 by registering four people at one time.
