Announcing the Health Care & Life Science Committee Chair and Vice-Chair

We are excited to announce the reinstatement of the Health Care & Life Science Committee, which will have their first (virtual) meeting in July.  The Chamber is honored to have Summer Vanessa Held, First Citizens Bank, and Robert P. Mino, JD, MBA, MS, Vice President, Life Sciences, Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, serve as the Chair and Vice-Chair. 

 

Since 2015, Summer Vanessa Held has been a Business Services Representative with First Citizens Bank. As a banking professional, Summer has assisted South Florida businesses by helping them to manage their commercial banking and finance needs while providing “concierge business services”. For over 15 years Summer has worked in the local banking industry and is truly dedicated to relationship banking and helping her clients manage their finances.  From medical professionals, law firms, accounting offices, to family owned businesses and owner occupied commercial real estate. 

Summer has always been an award winning client relationship banker. With First Citizens Summer has received several awards and recognitions from Performance Excellence, Business Services Representative of the year and Front Line Award Winner.

Summer was born in Stuart, Florida and moved to Jupiter in 2005. Now married and enjoying raising her two sons here in Jupiter. Gunnar will be starting Kindergarten this coming school year and Brantley was born last September.

In the community, Summer not only supports but has also been active in local non-profits including the Arthritis Foundation of South Florida, West Palm 100 and the Lord’s Place. Summer has been on multiple committees within the Arthritis Foundation organizing events to help raise money for Arthritis Awareness.

Summer has also been involved with many professional organizations such as the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and a leadership position in her local BNI Chapter.

 

Robert Mino is the Vice-Chair for the Healthcare & Life Science Committee of Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.  Robert brings experience in both healthcare and life sciences to the committee.  Robert serves as the VP, Life Sciences for the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB), where he interacts with hundreds of companies and stakeholders in the life sciences, many of which reside in North County.  Prior to joining the BDB, Robert worked as an in-house counsel for a Riviera Beach pharmaceutical company, as a general manager at a Jupiter medical device company, and as a business law and patent attorney.  He has also worked for life science companies outside our community, including Applied Biosystems, Roche Diagnostics, and Sigma-Aldrich, all Fortune 1000 companies at the time.  Robert is an Affiliate Faculty at FAU and is the 2020 Entrepreneur-in Residence for University of Florida.  Robert and his wife Samantha, a dermatologist, live in Jupiter.
