Marketing Communications Director
Reports to: Vice President of Administration & Economic Development

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
- Ability to write marketing copy
- Must have a portfolio of samples in the area of design
- At least 5 years experience of relevant experience
- Strong computer skills and database management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional and mature attitude; ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must provide an outstanding, positive example of customer service, leadership and professionalism to chamber members, staff and leadership.
- Ability to multitask
- Sound judgment in matters of customer service and internal management
- Ability to motivate peers, volunteers and staff in the organizational mission
- Desire to grow and develop professionally
Job Description:
- Design/Oversee creation of all marketing materials and external communications for marketing of the Chamber, committees, councils and special events
- Oversee, manage and execute all social media marketing initiatives
- Monitor and report on all social media accounts
- Prepare and manage annual budget for Communications, Public Relations, assigned Chamber committees/councils and Chamber Events under purview
- Maintain external communications calendar for Marketing & Events Team
- Develop organizational marketing plans
- Develop and approve events strategy
- Act as liaison to special committees as assigned
- Engage in marketing demographic analysis and develop marketing and design strategies based on best practices
- Create PowerPoint presentations and programs for events
- Create and distribute digital program emails after events
- Supervise the Manager of Premier Events and the Events Coordinator and anyone else hired within the department
- Oversee marketing planning and logistics for all on-site and off-site Chamber events and initiatives in support of the strategic plan
- Work closely with Finance Manager and Events Team to coordinate all event/program accounting including but not limited to:
- Event registrations
- Programs and Service billings and payables
- Contract development and maintenance
- Merchandise and Food sales
- Under VP’s approval, responsible for the day-to-day execution of the chamber brand management and marketing efforts supporting the strategic plan
- Attend staff meetings and update on marketing, design and related initiatives
- Oversee special projects as needed
- Update website, as requested when appropriate
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
